Q: How should I set quality?

Lower values shrink the file, but may introduce artifacts (pixelation or banding on gradients). Photos: 70–80 is a good balance. Graphics/illustrations: 80–90 keeps edges crisp. If you need fine control, test 2–3 variants and compare size vs. visual quality.

Q: Which format do I download?

The optimized result is WebP, generated with Google libwebp. WebP is typically smaller than JPEG/PNG and widely supported in modern browsers. If you need a legacy fallback, keep the original format alongside it.

JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 16MB per file. Other formats (e.g. HEIC, BMP, TIFF) are not processed directly;
convert them to PNG/JPEG first, then optimize here. For faster uploads, avoid huge sources (e.g. >50MP)
or pre-compress them.
